Speaking with confidence

Confident public speaking and how Hypnotherapy can be used.

Feeling confident when speaking in public, whether at work, speaking in a meeting, or giving a presentation or social activities. Is a good skill for everyone to master

So for Anyone who wishes to improve their public speaking for personal and professional reasons.  Hypnotherapy sessions focus on the mind, with positive and calm thoughts, projecting your voice and speaking calmly, as well as working with your personal presence with calmness and relaxation, body language, breathing techniques, posture and eye contact.

Public speaking

Public speaking is a common fear and anxiety for most people, even the most accomplished speakers may feel stressed about speaking in a formal situation. It's now becoming common practice for people to give presentations at work, to their colleagues, clients, board members, interviews and even in social situations such as clubs or weddings.

Some of of the common public speaking fears include:  * Drying up * Mind going blank * People asking questions * The audience aware that you are anxious * Voice shaking * Taking too fast * Worried you will lose control * Sweating too much * Worried about speaking in front of their peers * Being the centre the attention * Fear of managers or senior personnel in the audience * Lack of confidence and self belief * Getting stage fright *

Why does public speaking fill so many people with dread?  Glossophobia

Public speaking is a common angst for so many people.  What makes the different between an informal chat in a group and standing up and talking in front of a group?  It's the fear and anxiety that separates the two. Here are some reasons why:

Lack of confidence and self belief -  if you believe you can not do it, your mind and body will respond and believe it to.  Lack of confidence also stems from worrying about the audience asking too many questions which you fear you will not be able to answer. Hypnotherapy can help to build up your confidence not only in the way you speak but also confidence in your body.

Being the centre of attention - Standing up and facing others can feel quite isolating, and the impact of being the focus of the audience attention can feel quite stressful.  Hypnotherapy can help you create awareness to understand why you dislike being the centre of attention.

Feeling self-conscious - worrying you may say something incorrect, the sound of your voice, speaking too soft, voice shaking can impact how you feel. Hypnotherapy can help with confidence to speak clearly and calmly.

Worried about how the body may respond - sweating, shaking, unable to think clearly, unable to formulate sentences - sound familiar?  Hypnotherapy can help the body stay calm and focused.
